Grace G. Reibling age 90 of Elkton died Friday morning, July 12, at Willow Tree Haven Retirement Home, near Gagetown.
She was born May 28, 1923, in Winsor Twp. at the home of her parents, the late William and Edna (Gregor) Buschlen.
On November 29, 1941, she was united in marriage to David G. Reibling at the Elkton Evangelical United Brethren Church.
They made their home on a farm in Chandler Twp., where she became a hard working farm wife, always happiest when working on the farm, in the flower beds or mowing lawn.
She was a member of the Elkton United Methodist Church, where she played the piano for many years and a former member of the Shady Lane Farm Bureau Group.
Grace loved to sew and quilt, she had made many blankets out of loved ones sweaters. She enjoyed refinishing and refurbishing furniture, be it painted, stained or just making these items look new or better.
Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren, their presence and love gave her much happiness.
Surviving are two children, Dianne (Doug) Yackle of Bad Axe and Randel (Maureen) Reibling of Elkton; five grandchildren, Gregory (Rebecca) Yackle, Karianne Yackle, Kristin Reibling, Matthew (Michelle) Reibling and David (Lindsay) Reibling; five great grandchildren, Jonah, Owen, Emma, Klaire and Adelyn; a brother, Joe (Ann) Buschlen of Elkton; her sister, Shirley (William) Zinnicker of Cass City and to sisters-in-law, Marie Buschlen and Vivian Buschlen.
Preceding her in death were her husband, David on May 5, 1994, four brothers, Glenn, LeRoy, Duane and Clifford and a sister, Maxine Stirrett.
Listening to gospel music on WTCP Radio about her savior was her favorite past time in recent months, the songs gave her great comfort.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 16, at the Elkton United Methodist Church. Rev. Craig Pillow, pastor will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton. Friends and family may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 9 PM Monday and at the church Tuesday after 10 AM.
