Gregg L. Ropp

Gregg L. Ropp, age 36, of Nampa, ID, died September 5, 2002, following a seven month illness.
He was born May 11, 1966, in Pigeon to Harold and Mildred (Shepherd) Ropp.
Gregg was a 1984 graduate of E.P.B.P High School after which he joined the U.S. Air Force, serving his country for nine years. During that time he was united in marriage to Janine Van Nuz in the Netherlands on October 16, 1987.
After the USAF, he attended Boise State University receiving an applied science degree in drafting technology. In 1999, he took a job as an engineer at CH2Mhill in Boise, ID, designing interstate highways.
Gregg loved athletic and outdoor activities since childhood. He played basketball, tennis and softball during and after high school. He was also and avid hunter and fisherman. Gregg took up skiing, golf and softball in his adulthood. He loved sharing these past times with his family and friends. The most important thing throughtout these wanderings of his was that he found Christ as his Lord and Savior and made it a priority to develop close relationships with his wife, children and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Janine; his daughter, Milissa; two sons, Daniel and Joshua all of Nampa; his parents, Harrold and Mildred Ropp of Pigeon; two brothers, Troy of Harrison Twp., and James of Spring Lake, NC; one nephew, Keagan of Bay City; and a special cousin, Ronald Shepherd of Warren.
A funeral service has taken place, September 10, in Boise, ID, with burial in Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 5, at the First United Methodist Church, Pigeon with Pastor Margaret Passenger officating. In leiu of flowers the family suggests memorials cotributions be given to his children’s education fund.
