Gregory Stanley Raymond

Gregory Stanley Raymond of Caro, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 while at his home. He was born in Flint on June 23, 1954, the son of the late Bernard Raymond and Ardith (Kemp) Molnar. Greg attended Reese High School and graduated with the Class of 1972.

On June 17, 1978, Greg married the love of his life, Rosemary Matuszak, at the Caro Church of the Nazarene and they spent forty-three years together before her passing on April 8, 2022. He worked for Steering Gear in Saginaw, later known as Delphi Saginaw Division, as a maintenance technician.

He had a lifelong love of classic cars and took great pride in showing them at local car shows, including those held during the Caro Pumpkin Festival and at Johnson’s Pumpkin Farm. When he was younger, he and Rose traveled throughout Michigan and even out of state to showcase their vehicles and share their love of classic cars with others. He was a longtime member of the Pacemakers Auto Club.

An avid outdoorsman, he looked forward to hunting turkey, deer, and bear and enjoyed hunting with both a bow and gun. Later in life, he discovered another favorite pastime, singing and karaoke. He was part of G&G DJ-ing and enjoyed entertaining at local bars, singing everything from Usher to Elvis.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, great sense of humor, and ability to captivate just about anyone with a good story. He was confident in his abilities and took pride in doing things well. If there was ever something he wasn't sure of, he would practice until he had it just right.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Dave & Sandra Raymond, Kim Raymond and Deborah Raymond; stepbrother, Morrie and Shirley Jim Molnar, brother-in-law, Jack & Kathy Matuszak; sisters-in-law, Mary & Gary VanWormer and Nancy Matuszack; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Greg was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl (Raymond) Nicol; parents-in-law, Peter and Genevieve (Guild) Matuszak; brothers-in-law, Charlie Nicol and John Connolly; sister-in-law, Nancy Raymond.

A memorial service for Greg will be on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 1:00 at the Ransford Funeral Home of Caro. The family will be present to receive visitors from 11:00 until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Hospital or donor’s choice.
