H. Kenneth Wood

H. Kenneth Wood age 67, of Sand Point, died Monday evening, April 27, at Covenant Harrison, Saginaw.
He was born June 12 1941, to the late Howard and Ada (Trafford) Wood in Pawtucket, RI.
Ken and his family moved several times, residing California, Wisconsin and settling in Livonia near Detroit in 1961.
He owned several pizzerias in the metro area before starting his own business in 1979, Linco Packaging Products based in Northville. He sold Linco and retired in 1999.
On December 27, 1984, he was united in marriage to Linda VanValkenburgh in Plymouth. They moved to Sand Point in 2002.
Ken attended the Pinnebog United Methodist Church. He enjoyed boating and fishing, family vacations and because of his out going personality, he enjoyed trading jokes and stories with all those around him.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; four children, Kristen Wood and her husband Chris Lockheed of San Francisco, CA, Ken Wood and his wife, Cora of Houston, TX, Debby Clark of Williamston and Diana St. Andre and her husband Myron of Naubinway; four grandchildren, Tina, John, Paul and Rhoda; five great grandchildren and his brother, Don Wood of Standish.
Preceding him in death was a son, Paul.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, May 1, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Rev. David Freeland, pastor of Pinnebog United Methodist Church will officiate with burial in Chandler Twp. Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family from 2 to 9 PM Thursday and after 10 AM Friday morning.
Memorials may be given to U of M Pediatric Cancer Center.
