Hanlon Gary Sears

H. Gary Sears, 72, of Caseville, died Friday, October 2, 2015 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe.

Gary was born January 3, 1943 in Waynesville, Missouri to the late Hanlon F. and Maxine (Dick) Sears. He graduated from Royal Oak Kimball High School in 1961. He served in the US Army from 1961-1964. He married Sandra Wensink on June 5, 1965 in St. Clair Shores.

Gary worked for Consumers Power from 1965 until 1997, when he retired and moved from Clawson to Caseville. He enjoyed spending winters in Winter Haven, Florida. He was a member of the Caseville Eagles Club and the Caseville American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Sandra; sons Ron (Sarah) of Madison Heights and Brian (Koreena) of North Hollywood, California; and grandchildren Garrett and Kaylee. He was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Sadler.

A memorial service will be at 2:00pm Saturday, November 14th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. Visiting hours will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
