Hannah Payne

Hannah S, Payne, age 92, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 at The Pavillion in Lebanon, Tennessee, following a period of declining health. She was born on June 15, 1920 in Bruce Mines, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late William and Annie (King) Pemberton. On February 20, 1939 the former Hannah Pemberton was united in marriage with Edison Payne in Flint. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1980. The Paynes moved to Caro in 1965, and she remained here until 2006 when she moved to be with her children. Hannah was a homemaker and enjoyed her family very much. While in Caro she was a member of the Caro V.F.W. Auxilary Post #4164. Hannah is survived by one daughter, four sons and their spouses, Annie & Mark Ruggles of Midland, Thomas & Patricia Payne of Flint, Roger & Diane Payne of Clio, Michael Payne of Flint, and Joseph & Erika Payne of Lebanon, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Marian Payne of Caro; numerous grandchildren, great- and great-great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Hannah was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick and John Payne; a grandson, Mark Payne; a great-grandson, Thomas Payne; a great-great-grandson, Jacob Payne; a step-great-great-granddaughter, Kayline Walker; step-grandchildren, Larry and Delores Walker and all of her siblings. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Annie Ruggles, 205 W.
