Harley L. Morell of Kingston, age 90, passed away on the evening of Saturday, January 6, 2024 with his family by his side. Harley was born April 2, 1933, the son of the late James and Rose (Shagney) Morell. He graduated from Sandusky High School and went on to become a diesel mechanic. Harley worked as a diesel mechanic operating engineer for Saginaw Asphalt until his retirement in 1997. He was very proud of his career and of being a member of the operating engineers. In his free time, Harley enjoyed mowing the lawn on his John Deer tractor, tending to his farm, and collecting tractors. He loved his family and absolutely adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Harley was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Morell and fourteen siblings. Harley is survived by his children & their spouses, Darlene & Terry Bruno, Dennis & Santa Morell, Doreen & David DeCouto, and Derek & Cecelia Morell. He was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and is also survived by his ninety-five-year-old sister, Erma.
In keeping with Harley’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held.
