Harold Werner "Harry" Blome, 79 of Pigeon, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
He was born in Oliver Township on April 27, 1935 and was the son of Gustav and Gertrude J. (Kaucher) Blome. Growing up, Harold attended Cross Lutheran School and Cross Lutheran Church, where he was a member.
Harold farmed throughout his lifetime, and more recently worked for Buchholz Transport in Pigeon. He enjoyed hunting near Hubbard Lake. When younger, he also enjoyed golfing.
His survivors include his children: Peggy Lynn Putman and Patsy Ann Aguilera, both of Bay City, Kathy J. (David) Nimtz of Sebewaing, Nancy R. Russell of Florida, Renee S. (Rev. Eric) Majeski of Washington Township, and Robert H. Blome and Thomas M. Blome, both of Saginaw; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne Powers of Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Joan Blome and Shirley Blome. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Blome and John Blome.
The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Cross Lutheran Church in Pigeon, with Rev. Timothy Loehrke, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
