Harold Brothers of Caro, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Cartwright Hospice Residence in Saginaw, following a brief illness. Harold was born October 8, 1928 in Corunna, the son of the late Charles and Alice (Perry) Brothers. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Harold was united in marriage with the former Sherri Ogden on December 12, 1981 at the Caro United Methodist Church, and she survives him. He was employed as a machinist at Universal in Frankenmuth and attended the Caro Church of the Nazarene. Harold enjoyed golf, cards and bowling. Harold is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Sherri Brothers of Caro; children, twins Sheryl & Butch McCulloch of Saginaw, Steve & Debbie Brothers of Saginaw; three grandchildren, Nicole & Brian Mannion of Saginaw, David & Heather Brothers of Saginaw, Sarah & Tomas Reyes of Grand Rapids; twin great-grandchildren, Guy and Annie Mannion; siblings and their spouses, Roger Brothers, Bill & Donna Brothers, Charlie Cooper, Christine & Robert Reis, Eleanor Nerio, Shirley & Charles Olivier; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his remaining six siblings. In keeping with Harold's wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no services being planned at this time. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Covenant Hospice or the Caro Church of the Nazarene.
