Harold G. Heck, age 85, of Elkton, died Thursday morning, April 12, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility.
He was born June 29, 1920, in Oliver Twp. at the home of his parents, the late John and Mabel (David) Heck.
On November 7, 1942, he was united in marriage to Eldina J. Anderson in Elkton.
Harold was a farmer in Oliver Twp all of his life. He raised beef as well as being a crop farmer. For sixteen years, he worked at General Cable in Cass City while continuing his farm operation, and retired from General Cable in 1980.
He was a member of the SOAR Retirement Group, Cass City and attended the Owendale Community in Christ Church and Senior Group.
Surviving are his wife, Eldina; four children, Donna (Don) Hausbeck of Reese, Roger (Jan) Heck of Plano, TX, Judy (William) Garrick of Elkton and Rick (Karen) Heck of Elkton; seven grandchildren, Jeff Garrick, Christy (Brad) Braden, Brendan Heck, Camden Heck, Miranda (Adam) Benfer, Melissa Heck and Samantha Heck; three great grandchildren, Sydney, Courtney and Adelyn; two step grandsons, Bob and Dave Hausbeck; two step great grandsons, Adam and Aaron and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were four brothers, Ray, Walt, Roy and Ernie Heck.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, April 17, at the Owendale Community In Christ Church. Elder Ellis Gardner will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 4 to 9 PM Sunday and at the church after 10 AM Monday.
Memorials may be directed to his church, the Medical Care Facility or Home & Hospice Advantage.
