Harold Roy Kundinger

Harold Roy Kundinger, age 97, of Sebewaing, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018, at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro.

Harold was born in Sebewaing, April 8, 1920, to Charles and Katie (Gettel) Kundinger. He married Bernadine Schlicker on August 14, 1948, at Trinity Monitor Lutheran Church in Bay City. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2006. He worked as a self-employed farmer his entire life. He also enjoyed driving school bus for Bach and Kilmanagh transfer students. He was also an AAL volunteer, St. Peters Lutheran Church member, elder, trustee, and was on the finance board. He enjoyed playing cards, traveling, dancing polkas, deer hunting, family get togethers, and making lunch for his boys every day.

Harold is survived by his children: James (Gloria) Kundinger of Auburn, Connie (David) Lopez of Saginaw, Allan (Lorraine) Kundinger of Sebewaing, Jean (Steven) Whitmore of Bridgeport, Bruce (Deb) Kundinger of Gagetown, Bryce (Connie) Kundinger of Sebewaing and Doreen (John) Knapke of Kettering, OH; grandchildren: Jenna (Jason) Kaiser, Kevin (Amy) Kundinger, Chad (Heather) Kuebler, David (Lisa) Lopez, Carolyn Lopez, Anthony (Katie) Lopez, Nathan (Janel) Whitmore, Nicole (Jeff) Filter, Danielle (Nickolas) Varney, Daniel Kundinger, Katie Kundinger, Derek Kundinger, Kelli Kundinger, Matthew (Lindsey) Knapke, Carla Knapke, Katie (Kyle) Tayler, and Neil Pardike; great grandchildren: Audrey, Owen Kayleigh, Frances, Matt, Chris, Jacob, Michael, Adrianna, Dylan, Adysan, Zander, Oliver, Elsie, Leigha, Nash, Claire and Elizabeth.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 3 sisters: Laura Neumann, Clara Dressler and Esther Kurzer.

Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service is Saturday, January 20, 2018, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Bach. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Rev. Thom Garrison officiating.

Burial will be at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Peters Lutheran Church (Bach) or the American Heart Association.
