Harold Earl Scharf, Jr.

Harold Earl Scharf, Jr. of Prescott, formerly of Unionville, age 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Harold was born April 6, 1943 in Detroit, the son of the late Harold E. Scharf, Sr. and Hazel (Hoornstra) Scharf and was a resident of Unionville most of his life. He was a truck driver for many years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Linda Scharf; his children, Dion (Bruce Deitz), Lloyd (Shelly), Rhonda (Philip) Thompson; step-children, Kathy Lynn "Punkin", Peter Soler (Mary), Timothy Soler (Julie), Libby Scharf; a daughter-in-law, Roxanne Scharf; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy Scharf; his son, Eugene Scharf; and three sisters, Cora Hartman, Sylvia Black, and Gloria Rodriguez. Funeral services will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro at 11:00 a.m. on June 2, 2023 with Pastor Gene Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia Township Cemetery in Unionville.
