Harriette Forshee Pearce entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 3, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born November 22, 1940, in Caro, the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred Forshee of Akron. She grew up on the family farm near Akron, and lived most of her married life in Lapeer. Harriette was a Registered Nurse by trade, and was involved in 4-H, Boy Scouts, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Lapeer Calvary Bible Church. She loved reading, history, operating and restoring old steam engines, and crafts of many varieties. Harriette is survived by one son, Chris Pearce of Texas; two siblings and their spouses, Carolyn & Richard Chambers of Holland, Michigan, John & Debra Forshee of Caro; one step-brother and his wife, Richard & Shirley Forshee; one step-sister, Eileen Kirkpatrick; sister-in-law, Marilyn Forshee; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Pearce; one son, John Pearce; and one brother, Dr. Dwight Forshee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Caro First Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Herron officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to WMPC Gospel Radio in Lapeer, Lapeer Calvary Bible Church, or Construction for Worldwide Evangelism of Tampa, Florida.
