Hazel Pearl Nitz
Hazel P. Nitz, age 85, of Sebewaing, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. She was born the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Pe'cure) Whidden on March 9, 1927 in Vassar, MI.
On April 24, 1947 she married Ernest H. Nitz. Ernest passed away on June 13, 1985.
Surviving are seven children, Sharon (Elmer, Jr.) Schumacher, Frances (Darrell) Wiergowski, Nancy (Tom) McGrath, Pat Nitz, Cynthia (Don) Horiski, Randall (Christine) Nitz, Jennifer Nitz (Rich Spencer). Also surviving are her sister, Martha Emmons, seventeen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Hazel was preceded in death by a daughter, Vera (Art) Engelhardt, a grandson, and eight siblings.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 1-9pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will also be on Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Bach, from 10am until the time of funeral service at 11am, with Pastor Michael Teuscher officiating.
Burial will be at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Peters Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
