Helen Blocher

Helen V. Blocher, age 81, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at her home, after a brief illness. She was born February 21, 1930 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. Following her marriage to John J. Blocher in May of 1968, the couple moved to Cass City and to Caro in 1979 to live and work at the Caro Regional Center. Mitzie worked as a secretary in the directors office for over fifteen years, retiring in 1985. Following her retirement, she enjoyed meeting with her friends at McDonalds over a cup of coffee. Surviving Mitzie are two sons, two daughters and their spouses, Marc Gibas of Belleville, Virginia & Paul Regnerus of Cass City, Nick & Kim Gibas of Oxnard, California, Valerie Wesolowski of Warren; three stepchildren and their spouses, Suzi & John Wolowicz of Centerville, Lori & Arlen Grove of Lake Odessa, James & Sandy Blocher of Nevada; one brother, Joseph Durish of Sayerville, New York; one sister, Elizabeth Winnie of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
