Helen M. Foy Decker, age 86 of Pigeon, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
Born in Saline, Michigan on August 8, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Selma (Miller) Steudle. On June 29, 1946 she and Raymond L. Foy were united in marriage in Warren. He died August 20, 1996. On November 30, 2002 she was married to Richard Decker in Pigeon, and he passed away May 27, 2008.
During the 1960's, Helen worked as a secretary with her husband Ray, in his business, Statewide Caulking. She then worked as a secretary at Center Line Public Schools until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, especially her roses. She played cards, worked crossword puzzles, and had music playing in her home all the time. She especially loved spending time with her family at the lake, swimming and watching sunsets.
Helen was an active, faithful member of Cross Lutheran Church in Pigeon.
Her survivors include two daughters, Patricia Tesh of Pigeon and Tracey (Raymond) Cutway of Shelby Township; two sons, Jeffrey (Judy) Foy of Warren and William (Laurie) Foy of Shelby Township; eight grandchildren: Lynn (Steve), Gregory (Steve), Brian (Kim), Rebecca (Gregory), Suzanne, Nicholas, Lauren, and Alexa; three great-grandchildren, Charlie, Luke, and Tommy; siblings, Alene Klosky of Roseville and Martin (Peggy) Steudle of Lake Orion; step siblings, David and Sharon; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Herb and Richard, and sisters, Louise Hincks and Elsie Prichard.
The Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Cross Lutheran Church, Pigeon, with Rev. Timothy Loehrke, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Caseville Township Cemetery.
