Helen Jean (Langley) Guster 92, of Caseville, was given the gift of eternal life on August 10, 2021. Helen passed away of natural causes surrounded by family and under the care of the staff at St Francis Nursing Home in Sagina w .

She was born January 12, 1929 in Caseville to the late Albertus “Bert” and Susan (Vahovick) Langley. She married Samuel J. Guster September 6, 1947 at St. Roc h Catholic Church. He preceded her on June 12, 1999. She was a member of St. Roc h Catholic Church where she loved to usher. She was a member of the Caseville American Legion Auxil i ary Jean Post #543. For over 50 years she was an avid bowler, bowling at Biff’s in Kinde. She enjoyed bingo, watching the Detroit Tigers, playing cards (Euchre) with her family, and patronizing Lefty's.

Helen was a hard worker her entire life. She was a waitress and cook at Dormey’s Blue Water Inn, cooked at the Log Cabin, Bay Window and finally Walt’s Restaurant. She also enjoyed her days stocking the vegetable and meat case at the IGA in Caseville.

Surviving are four children, Susan (Randy) Yackel, Saginaw; Mary (Robert) Hamilton, Rockford, MI; Samuel (Ruth) Guster, Caseville, and Craig (Lisa) Guster, Freeland; fourteen grandchildren: Kristin (Andy) Friend, Anthony (Genise) Hamilton, Cliff Yackel, Stacy (Lars) Langschwager, Shannon Guster, Andrea (Matt) Coe, Samantha Guster, Sabrina (Jesse) Powell, Sasha Guster, Stephanie Guster, Nathan (Veronica) Gaps, Cameron (Jordan) Guster, Kyle (Kara) Guster, and Lindsay Guster. She also leaves twenty-three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews too numerous to count. She is survived by two sister s -in-law: Bertha Dondineau and Anabelle Stolicker.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Connor Bint, five brothers: Leonard (Mary) Langley, Albertus (Eli s abeth) Langley, Roy (Arlene) Langley, David and Archie Langley, six sisters: Francis (Andrew) Gorski, Erma (Charles) Steele, Eleanor (Don Smith) Perry, Deloris (Edwin) Steinman, Lois (Leonard) Dillon, and Mary (Robert) Orban. Brother and sister s -in-law: Albertus (Barbara) Guster, John (Jean) Guster, Theresa (Nelson) Briesmiester, Mary (John) Himmel, Catherine Guster and Robert Guster, and Gordon Dondineau.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, August 16 at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish.
