Helen Ethel Schulz

Helen E. Schulz , residing in Clarkston, MI, formerly of Unionville MI, passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2022.

She was 101 years old. Helen was born on February 14, 1921 in Akron MI to Robert and Martha (Wildner) Daniels. On May 4, 1957 Helen married Carl Schulz. Together they enjoyed 48 years of marriage until his passing on November 11, 2005. Quilting was one of her many hobbies. She was part of a quilting group at her church where they would meet together to make beautiful quilts to be sent around the world. She also enjoyed making quilts for her great-nephews and great-nieces as they came along. Helen also liked working in her garden and canning her produce. Helen was an avid reader and she was an exceptional cook, especially her Angel Food Cake. She enjoyed bowling and visiting with family and friends.

Helen joined St. Peter Lutheran Church of Unionville when she married Carl. She continued to worship and serve there until she moved to Clarkston.

Helen is survived by many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation and funeral service all on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 1-4pm with the service at 4pm. Brad Haist will be officiating.

A graveside service will be private at Columbia Twp. Cemetery.
