Helen "Bunnie" Shaw

Helen “Bunnie” Shaw age 95, of Pigeon died Monday morning, April 10, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility.
She was born December 9, 1910 in Detroit to the late Philip and Emily (Barber) Hutchinson.
On April 6, 1929, she was united in marriage to William J. Shaw in Detroit. Bill was originally from the Elkton area so when he retired in 1966, they returned to Huron County. They live a short time in Elkton, Caseville and Bad Axe before settling in Pigeon. He preceded her in death June 9, 1980.
Bunnie was a past member of the Bay Port Women’s Club, enjoyed knitting, playing cards and making hand painted china.
Surviving are two children, Bette (Charles) Ulrich of Bay City and Bill Shaw Jr. of Pigeon; two grandchildren, Shawna and John and two great grandsons, Ian and Alex.
Preceding her in death were three brothers, Raymond, Philip and Edward Hutchinson and a sister, Emily Eglington.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, April 13, at the Champagne Funeral chapel, Elkton. Rev. Daniel Stone, pastor of the Community Wesleyan Church will officiate with burial in Grandlawn Cemetery near Pigeon.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 PM Wednesday and after 10 AM Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
