Henry Johnson

Henry O. Johnson, age 66, of Caro passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at United Hospice Residential Center in Marlette. He was born on November 19, 1941 in New Lothrop to Osborn and Adelia (Bouck) Johnson. Henry came to Caro at age six and was a Caro High School graduate. On November 19, 1960 he married the former Sharon Montague in Vassar. Henry was employed for thirty-one years at Eaton and Grede Foundry in Vassar. He enjoyed restoring cars, tractor shows and woodworking. Henry was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Caro. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two children; Rhonda (Jack Jr.) Beckrow of Caro and David Johnson of Caro; five grandchildren, Jack III (Noelle) Beckrow of Caro, Michael Beckrow of Caro, Danielle Johnson and special friend, Kevin Parker, of Saginaw, Kassranda Johnson of Caro and David Johnson II of Caro; his siblings, Alfred Johnson of Spring Hill, Florida, Elizabeth (Ronald) Abke of Redding, California, Mildred Timko and her friend, Bill Whiteford, of Vassar; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Terri Johnson, in 1974. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Doug Richardson, United Hospice, officiating. Burial will be at the Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette.
