Herbert L. Severn

Herbert L. Severn , age 92, of Unionville, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2022 at McLaren Bay Special care in Bay City.

Herbert was born August 7, 1929, to Peter and Elma (Parker) Severn. He attended Owendale High School until the middle of 10 ^th grade. He joined the United States Army from May 1951-May 1953, being honorably discharged. Herb then married Illa Jean Jubar on May 11, 1957 at the Owendale Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church. He worked as an auto body mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles, traveling, tinkering in the garage, working on cars, helping anybody fix or build things, watching and feeding birds and being with his family.

Herbert is survived by his wife, Illa; children: Pamela (Tony) Orlik of Fairgrove, Cindy (Warren) Donahue of Sebewaing and Scot (Brenda) Severn of Caro; grandchildren: Casey (Mike) Hickey, Michael (Amber) Orlik, Warren (Liz) Donahue, Katie (Shaun) Gremel, Terry (Stephanie) Donahue, Nicole Severn, Kyle Severn and Colton Severn; great grandchildren: Georgia, Laine, Corbin, Audie, Charliegh, Alekzandr, McKenzie, Brady, Seth, Jenna, Molly and Luke; and great great granddaughter, Ellie.

Herbert is preceded in death by his 2 sisters: Genevie Abbe and Anna Forro.

A memorial visitation is planned for Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Sebewaing American Legion Post #293 from 11am-1pm.
