Hernado Zamora

Hernando Zamora of Akron, age 62, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, at his home. He was born May 2, 1964, in Saginaw, the son of the late Ramon and Maria (Villarreal) Zamora. Hernando graduated from Akron-Fairgrove High School and went on to work at Fisher’s Big Wheel and Big Lots. He was a dedicated and dependable worker who took pride in everything he did. His strong work ethic was just one of the many qualities that those who knew him admired.

Hernando enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time outdoors. He could often be found riding his bike around town and was always ready to go fishing or camping. He also enjoyed lifting weights and shooting pool with his brother, Ricardo. Hernando will always be remembered for his kindness and hardworking nature.

Hernando leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, Ramon and Mary Zamora, Jr. and Ricardo and Debra Zamora; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. In addition to his parents, Hernando was preceded in death by his siblings, Elena Zamora, Roberto Zamora, and Uvence “Vinny” Zamora and nephew, Nathaniel Zamora

Hernando’s memorial service will be on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ransford Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. James Brandt officiating. The family will be present to receive visitors on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of his service.
