Holly Gay Schepke

Holly Gay Schepke passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, peacefully at her home in Caseville following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Holly was born on December 24, 1956 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Russell and Naomi (Belcher) Davis. Holly raised her four daughters with the first love of her life in Birch Run. She tragically lost her first love in February of 1995. She was lucky enough to meet the second love of her life, Jim, and they spent the last 20-plus years together enjoying their combined families of four daughters and one son and many grandchildren. When retirement came, they spent eight months out of the year in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Two of her favorite things to do was to walk the beach in Florida and relax on the back porch at her Caseville home along with family and friends, enjoying a Bacardi rum with Pepsi. As many would say, she was always warm, inviting, and was adored and loved by many. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted partner, James A. Owens; her daughters, Naomi (Paul) Steenson, Martha Schepke, Laura Schepke, Elizabeth (Andrew) Zamora, and step-son, Eric (Lexie) Galbraith; grandchildren, Robert, Peyton, Preston, Stella, Scarlett, Owen, Victoria, Adrionnah, Emanuel, Anson, Brynlee, and Charlotte; siblings, Ronnie (Jennifer) Davis, Bruce (Alyssa) Davis, Shelly Woolever; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Bill) Eagle, Emily Hitchcock, and JoAnne Nusz; brothers-in-law, Jay Owens and Bill Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and good friends. In addition to her parents, Holly was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bobby) Schepke; brother, Rusty Davis; sisters-in-law, Iverna Rizzi and Shirley Smith; brothers-in-law, Robert Hitchcock, Danny Rizzi, and Julius Schepke. In keeping with Holly's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced when information becomes available.
