Howard “Bud” Joseph Rollo, 86, of Caseville, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Covenant Medical Center Cooper in Saginaw. Bud was born May 7, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Howard and Irene (Goniwicka) Rollo and was a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. He proudly served the community of Warren as a Police Officer until his retirement as a Sargeant in 1986. Bud married Loretta Evans in 1978, and the couple shared over 47 years together. She survives him. After his retirement, Bud and Loretta moved from Warren to Caseville where he continued to stay active in his new community as a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3690, Fraternal Order of the Police #124, and Scenic Golf and Country Club. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, playing poker, bowling, baking, and was considered by his family to be an excellent chef. He is remembered as being an outgoing though sometimes introspective man who was always accepting of others and lent his ear to many friends and family members through the years. Bud was calm and collected and maintained a positive attitude no matter what.
Bud is survived by his wife of 47 years Loretta Rollo; children Curtis Rollo, Howard “Scott” (Debbie) Rollo, and John (Donna) Rollo; grandchildren Johnathon (Amy), Ryan (Kia), Joey, Tommy (Meredith), Alex (Cristina), Michael (Chelsea), and Lisa (Cameron); and many great grandchildren; as well as countless nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by sisters Sharon Sullivan and Gail Parson.
In accordance with Bud’s wishes, cremation is to take place, with a memorial service honoring his life planned at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, 7356 W.
