Howard L. Tucker

Howard L. Tucker of Kingston, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Howard was born October 5, 1946, in Flint, the son of the late Howard M. Tucker and Vivian (Green) Tucker Beebe. He was united in marriage with the former Bonnie Ellen Lester on August 30, 1963, at the Tuscola County Court House and the couple shared over fifty-eight years of marriage before her passing on November 1, 2021. Howard was employed with Local 149A as a roofer, working in construction and remodeling. A man who thrived on challenges, doubting Howard’s ability to do something only fueled his determination to prove you wrong. In his spare time, he loved to shoot pool and was a member of the Kingswood Pool League. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and embarked on several fishing trips to Canada and Florida. Above all else, Howard cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Howard is survived by four children (Dad, Pops, Papa to many), Vincent & Jenell Tucker, Turina Tucker and her boyfriend, Levi Lynch, Lance Tucker and his girlfriend, Rachel Chapple, and Howard F. Tucker; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert & Carol Tucker, and Bill & Martha Beebe; several other siblings; and Howard’s significant other, Edith Ruppert. In addition to his parents and wife, Bonnie, Howard was preceded in death by his step-father, Fred Beebe; and brother, Jim Tucker.

In keeping with Howard’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Caro American Legion Post #7 in Caro on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 3:30 p.m. until 8:30  p.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of Howard’s family, c/o Turina Tucker, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
