Ida Anna Sting
Ida Anna Sting, age 88, of Sebewaing, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 in her home.
She was born in Gladwin, October 31, 1925, to the late Gustav and Bertha (Meihofer) Kliewoneit. Before getting married she worked as a secretary for Dow Chemical. She married Fred Sting. He preceded her in death in 1976. Ida enjoyed talking to anyone, cooking, and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church – Bach, Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), Ladies Aid and Bible Study Group.
Ida is survived by her children: Michael (Jeanne) Sting and Linda (Michael) Kunisch; grandchildren: Matthew Sting, Graham (Maggie) Kunisch, Adam (fiancé Kathryn Brown) Kunisch and Meg Kunisch; great grandson, Benjamin Roy Kunisch.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Fritz Kliewoneit and infant children: Susan and John Sting.
Visitation is Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home from 3-7pm.
The funeral service is Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
Burial will be at Silverlawn Cemetery in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to Christ the King Lutheran School or St. Peters Lutheran Church-Bach-LWML Fund.
