ImaJean L. Sumner, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, surrounded by the love of her family, at her daughters home near North Branch. ImaJean was born on March 31, 1942 in Caro, the daughter of the late Clayton & Pauline (Freeman) Turner and lived in Caro until 1986, moving to Fort Myers at that time. While in Caro, ImaJean was employed at the Caro Regional Center for about ten years and was president of the union. She was united in marriage with Oval Sumner in April of 1986. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1998. ImaJean continued to live in Fort Myers until coming back to her daughters home about a week ago. Surviving ImaJean are one son, two daughters and their spouses, Tim & Susan Klinesmith of Mayville, Jari & James Mahoney of Armada, Sheila & Charles Hauxwell of North Branch; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren plus one great-grandson yet to be born in February; three sisters, one brother and their spouses, Beverly & Henry Weller of Oregon, Sandra Keller of Caro, Theron & Mindy Turner of North Branch, Phyllis Nagy of Caro and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, ImaJean was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shelley Kay Klinesmith. In accordance with ImaJeans wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Caro with Pastor Michael Wester officiating. The family will receive friends at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Caro on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to United Hospice of Marlette, 2770 Main Street, Marlette, MI 48453.
