Iris Darlene Muska

Iris Darlene Muska of Caro, age 87, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro following a lingering illness. Iris was born May 16, 1929 in Caro, the daughter of the late Frank & Ann (Tarbaux) Campbell. She was united in marriage with Louis Muska on January 11, 1947 and the couple celebrated forty-eight years of marriage prior to his death on April 18, 1995. Iris spent her life caring for her family and cherished time spent with grandchildren. She was an excellent cook, an avid NASCAR and baseball fan, and enjoyed knitting, gardening and playing Euchre. Iris was a member of the Caro Nazarene Church and the Caro Women of the Moose #940. Left to cherish her memory are three children and their spouses, Louis & Sharon Muska of Caro, Daniel & Judy Muska of Lake Orion, Patrick "Rick" & Nancy Muska of Caro; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Marsha Muska of Baytown, Texas. In addition to her husband and parents, Iris was preceded in death by one son, Dennis "Mike" Muska; grandson, Dean Muska; sister, Deloris Becker; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Orville & Alice Campbell, Robert & Betsey Campbell. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Caro Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Paul McNett officiating. Burial will follow at a later time at the Almer Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Women of the Moose Memorial Service on Monday at the funeral home at 5:30 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
