Isabell R. Steenberg

Isabell R. Steenberg age 93, of Pigeon died Thursday evening, April 12 at Scheurer Hospital, Pigeon.
She was born September 29, 1918 in Paducah, KY, to the late Marvin and Ruby (Vincent) Robertson. She moved to Detroit, Michigan with her family as a child.
On July 21, 1934, she was united in marriage to Creighton Steenberg in Yale. They moved to Yale then to Port Huron, where they raised their family.
Isabell enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking and baking, no ever left her home hungry!
Surviving are three children, Raymond (Doreen) Steenberg of Port Huron, Patricia (Bill Mierndorff) Wickens of Elkton and Sue Elaine Locke of Port Huron; 18grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; her brother, John (JoAnn) Coleman of Williamsburg, VA and her sister, Cozette (C.L.) Monroe of Denver, CO.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Creighton; a son, Gary Steenberg; a daughter, Marion Murawski; a granddaughter, Tammy Cutcher; grandson, Bob Bartley and a great granddaughter, Renee Melnik.
A memorial service is planned for 1:00 PM Thursday, April19, at Potter House, Cass City with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Brockway Twp, in St. Clair County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials gifts may be made to the family discretionary fund
