Ivadell Engelhardt

Ivadell L. Engelhardt, age 95, of Sebewaing, passed away Tuesday morning, October 9, 2018, at Covenant-Cooper Hospital in Saginaw.

Ivadell was born in Sebewaing on January 26, 1923, to Ferdinand and Hilda (Pobanz) Weidner. She married Walter Engelhardt on May 29, 1943 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1990. She was proud of being baptized, confirmed and married at her home church. She was active at Immanuel Lutheran Church as a member of the OWLS, Bridge Club, Senior Citizens and church choir for 25 years. Also a member of Sebewaing VFW Auxiliary and was a Charter member. She enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen Meal Site and doing word searches.

Ivadell is survived by her son, James (Mary) Engelhardt of Sebewaing; grandchildren:  Paul (Nancy) Engelhardt, Craig Engelhardt, Anissa (Jason) Kuhl, Branden (Lisa) Gettel; great grandchildren: Marissa, Natalia, and  Ethan Engelhardt, Dawson & Treston Kuhl, and Madison and Mason Gettel. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Ivadell is preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Patrice Gettel-Lindow, sister, Elda Weidner and brother, Raymond Weidner.

Visitation and funeral will be Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 12:30pm-2pm. The service will begin at 2pm. Burial at the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Christ the King Lutheran School or the American Cancer Society.
