Ivan C. “Bud” Robertson, 75, Grand Blanc, formerly of Elkton, died Tuesday, Jan.4, at Genseys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich.
He was born Nov. 26, 1929, to the late Cecil and Elma (Lyon) Robertson in Flint.
On June 24, 1949, he was united in marriage to Shirley J. Gilson. Bud was a 1946 graduate of Grand Blanc High School. He was a past member of the Flint Arrowhead Chorus and the Elkton Lions Club. He retired from the Complete Auto Transit in 1988 after 25 years. He was also a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 332. Bud was a volunteer bus driver and supporter of Genesee County 4-H programs. He also operated a concession stand at the Genesee County Fair for 15 years.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley; children, Linda Zarnke of Grand Blanc, David (Gloria Turnage) Robertson of Grand Blanc, James (Angela) Robertson of Columbiaville, Karen (Charles) Rossman of Grand Blanc, and Gail (Norm) Fox of Grand Blanc; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Horn of Grand Rapids, Betty Picken of Minnesota and Sharon of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean and Keith Robertson, son-in-law, Vernon Zarnke, daughter-in-law, Judy Roberston, and a grandson, Baby-boy Robertson.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Jan. 7, at the Grand Blanc United Methodist Church, Rev. Roger Colby officiated with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc.
Memorials may be given to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, the Bay Shore Camp and Family Ministry, Sebewaing, or to Grand Blanc United Methodist Church music program.
