Ivan K. Haley

Ivan K. Haley age 69, of Bad Axe, died Tuesday morning, June 28, at Bay Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 28, 1942, in Bad Axe to the late Aaron and Evelyn (Schember) Haley.
Ivan was a 1960 graduate of Elkton High School. He farmed for a while with is dad and also with his brother. In 1970, he started driving truck for several different companies and in the early eighties, he began working construction with C. R. Hunt, retiring in 2004.
Ivan was a member of the Community in Christ Church and the Cass City Gun Club. He enjoyed refinishing antique furniture, playing cards and NASCAR.
Surviving are his companion and dear friend, Charlene Keillor of Bad Axe; his son, Brian Haley of Coleman; four grandchildren, Brandon, Teressa, Kevin and Ryan; six brothers, Ervin (Ginnie) Haley of Sebewaing, Ernest Haley of Tobyhanna, PA, Fred (Sandy) Haley of Elkton, Ron Haley of Belmar, NJ, Ennis Haley of Bad Axe and Anson (Melanie) Haley of Almont; three sisters, Lois Rousse of Bentor, KY, Judy Milton of Bay Port and Jewell (Mike) Cleekamp of Bad Axe and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was a son, Kevin Haley and a brother, Edward Haley.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday July 1, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Elder Karen Bouverette will officiate with burial in Grant Twp. Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 PM Thursday and after 10 AM Friday.
