Ivan Theaker

Ivan W. Theaker, age 71 years, of Allen Street, Caro, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2006, at his home. He was born on November 22, 1934, in Caro, to the late Karl Farwell and Bernice (Cliff) Theaker. Ivan married the former Beatrice Perry on November 22, 1963 at Mayville. He had been employed at Grede Foundry in Vassar as a grinder/inspector until his retirement. Ivan was a life member of the United Paper Workers International (CLC AFL-CIO) Local #7564. . He was well known for his garden and woodworking ability. Ivan is survived by his wife, Beatrice; four children, John Ivan Theaker of Caro, Marie Alyce Theaker of Caro, Charles Joe (Sherry) Theaker of Caro, Sfc. Timothy Nicolas (Stephanie) Theaker stationed with the U.S. Army in Florida; two step-children, Robert Eugene (Donna) Hascall of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Terry Lynn Hascall; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, three sisters and their spouses, Jalaine (Ron) Hagen of Houghton Lake, Charles (Josephine) Theaker of Washington, Anita (Jim) Butcher of Caro, Karen (Jack) Morrison of Lake Orion; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Morley Theaker. The funeral will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday, January 30, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dean Bryan of Juniata Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.; and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to V.N.A. Hospice or the Ivan Theaker family discretionary fund c/o Beatrice Theaker.
