J. Robinson

J. Lynn Robinson, age 98, passed away at Caro Community Hospital on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, following a brief illness. He was born December 2, 1907 in Caro, the son of the late Robert Marilla (Dowling) Robinson. He was united in marriage to the former Margaret Baer on October 13, 1933 in Flint, and the couple shared over 70 years together. Early in his career, Lynn was employed by McDonalds Dairy in Flint, delivering milk by horse and cart, and later worked for Flint Chevrolet producing wood car bodies. After leaving Flint Chevrolet, he returned to Caro to farm for many years. Lynn was an active member of Sutton Sunshine United Methodist Church in Caro. Lynn is survived by his wife, Margaret; two children, Elaine Westfall of Fairgrove and her special friend, Ed Townsend, and John L. Robinson of Caro; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Robinson of Kalamazoo and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Elaine Robinson.
