Jack A. Botsford, age 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at his home, following a lingering illness. Jack was born July 12, 1927 in Detroit, MI, the son of the late John Alex Margaret (Arnold) Botsford. Jack joined the U.S. Air Corp during World War II and served in Japan. After his discharge, he married the former Margaret “Muncie” Timko on November 1, 1947. Jack owned and operated Botsfords Gas Station and Wrecker Service in Caro from 1953 until his retirement in 2003, after 50 years of service to the community. Jack was a Life Member of Mt. Moriah Lodge 226 FAM. Jack had a passion for cars and motorcycles, and enjoyed boating, hunting, and fishing. He was also a collector of Harley Davison motorcycle models and merchandise. Jack is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret “Muncie” Botsford and one daughter, Jacqueline Botsford of Bay City.
