Jack Davis Jr., age 71 of Caseville died Wednesday afternoon, June 2, from a ruptured brain aneurysm, at St Mary’s Medical Center, Saginaw.
He was born February 25, 1933 in Royal Oak Twp. to the late Curtis and Nellie (Cunningham) Davis.
He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Jack drove truck for Allagany-Ludlum before coming to Caseville. He and his life partner, Ann Tosch owned and operated the Sandcrest Market near Sleeper State Park 14 years selling and retiring in 1999. For the past 13 years he managed the Refuge transfer station near Caseville.
Jack was a active member of the Caseville Eagles club and enjoyed tinkering on large and small projects. He was a loving caring man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his daughter, Juanita Lewis and her companion, Duane Deorn of Detroit; his grandson, Jack; his longtime companion, B. Ann Tosch of Caseville, her children, Darrel (Dinah) Dossin of Armada, David (Gidget) Dossin of Otter Lake and Dena (Pat) Withey of Caseville; their children Paige, Samantha, Darrel II, and Derek; a sister and three brothers.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 15, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel.
