Jack Kenney, age 86 of Sebewaing, passed away on October 9, 2015.

Jack was born in Ionia, Michigan on March 7, 1929 and later resided in Sebewaing. He served in the Navy and worked as an electrician.

He has three daughters, Holly (Bob) Kinde, Penney Smewing and Robin (Dave) Lennie. Five granddaughters: Nicole Kinde, Korey Kinde, Brook (Shayne) Mishler, Courtney (Anthony) Llanes, Jamie Smewing and four nephews.

Jack was known in the community as "Happy Jack" or "Birdie". He was a great man who enjoyed the art of whistling. He loved animals, the outdoors, birds, his grand dogs, smiley faces, Snoopy, cookies, fishing, tinkering with projects and especially his family.
Jack always thought of others and enjoyed making them smile. He was very charitable and donated to many in need.

A celebration of Jacks life will be held at Sebewaing Township Hall, located at 14 East Sharpsteen, Sebewaing, MI., on October 15, 2015, from 3-8p.m. with a time to share stories and thoughts at 6 p.m. Please come celebrate Jacks life with us.

In lieu of flowers, memorial cards for the wishes of the family, "Jack Cares" will be available at the celebration. The family is in the process of setting up a charitable cause called "Jack Cares", this will be a way to keep his spirit alive and giving in Jacks name.
