Jack Shoup

Jack Charles Shoup, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Caro Community Hospital, following a period of declining health. He was born on July 23, 1938 in Saginaw, the son of the late Charles and Ida (Fike) Shoup. Jack was a graduate of Saginaw High School and served his country for ten years in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage with the former Judy Roskie on August 16, 1958. Jack was employed as a mechanic from 1965 until 1999 for Wilsie-Kelly, Mike Serra and Pat Curtis Chevrolet-Olds-Cadillac in Caro, and was also a bus driver for Highland Pines. He is survived by his wife, Judy; three sons, one daughter and their spouses, Doug Shoup of Caseville, Dean & Patty Shoup of Marlette, Dale & Raylene Shoup of Caro, Diann & Bill Burns of Lansing; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Anne Waldron of Saginaw; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by an infant son, Don; a great-granddaughter, Alysa; two daughters-in-law, Sandy and Cheryl Shoup; one sister, Lois Lamb.
