Jack Walter Witkovsky

Jack Walter Witkovsky of Caro, age 80, passed away on Friday April 8, 2022 at his home. Jack was born May 29, 1941 in Caro, the son of the late Walter and Mildred (Surine) Witkovsky. He graduated from Caro High School in 1959 and went on to work at Michigan Sugar. In 1983, Jack started to work for Thom Farms, a job he loved dearly and worked right up to the day he passed away. Jack enjoyed dancing and square dancing. While dancing, Jack met the love of his life, Gina Lazzara. They dated, fell in love, and eventually Jack asked Gina to be his dancing partner for the rest of their lives. Jack and Gina were married on February 15, 1992, just recently celebrating their thirtieth anniversary. Jack loved to be on the farm working, driving the combines, field tiling, and driving “Big Bud.” Above all, he enjoyed being with his family. Jack will be missed dearly. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Gina; children, Jean McCall, Linda (Woody) Nickisch, Kelley (Tim) Nichols, and Wally (Heather) Witkovsky; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Dick Witkovsky and his special friend, Rose, and Melvin & Connie Witkovsky; many nieces and nephews; along with many friends. In addition to his parents, Jack was welcomed home to heaven by his son-in-law, James McCall. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Colwood Church in Caro. Rev. Randy Carpenter will officiate.
