Jacqueline E. “Jackie” Bond age 66, of Caseville died Sunday, October 19, at her home after suffering a probable massive heart attack.
She was born February 25, 1948 in Bay City to the late John and Charlotte (Sauve) Shephard and moved with her family to the Caseville in her teens.
Jackie was a 1966 graduate of Caseville High School. She married her high school sweet heart, Nelson Bond October 8, 1966 at the Caseville RLDS Church. They made their home and raised their family in Caseville.
Jackie was a CENA and did in home health care for the elderly, first with Courtney Manor, then Seasons Change before doing it on her own. Prior to nursing she had worked many jobs including waitressing and the seat belt mfg. in Bad Axe.
She had a passion for learning, which led her back to school to get a degree as a medical office Assistant in 2006. She believed in it so much that she was embarking on a reading program to help children at the elementary level at Caseville Schools.
Jackie had many interests that include sewing, crafting and gardening. She especially enjoyed being with and cooking for her family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Robin (Brian) Watts of Lake Orion, Nelson (Laura) Bond of Pigeon and Todd (Linda) Bond of Bay Port; grandchildren, Brianna, Lauren, Matthew, Andrew, Ryan, Shadow, Brandie and Cody; siblings, Norman (Betty) Shepherd of Columbus, IN, Suzanne (Michael) DeBeau of Lapeer, Nanette (Leonard) Oorbeck of Webster, FL, Cheryl Scott of Rose City, Larry (Kim) Lyter of Saginaw, Debbie, Brad, Cindy and Patty Shephard of Arizona. Her husband Nelson preceded her in death May 13, 2008
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, October 24, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, Caseville with Rev. Fr Joseph Schabel officiating.
Friends and family may call from 2 to 8 PM Thursday.
