Jacqueline Ann Sims

Jacqueline "Jackie" A. Sims, 90, of Caseville, died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

Jacqueline was born March 9, 1932 in Detroit to the late Robert and Jessie (Ireland) Sutton. She graduated from Redford Union High School.  Jackie married Lyndon G. Sims on January 20, 1951 at St. Martin Episcopal Church in Detroit. He preceded her in death in 2015.  Jackie worked as a homemaker, taking care of her home and family. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading.

She is survived by her daughter Corinne "Cori" (Norman) Smith of Caseville, 3 grandchildren: Kelly (Phil) Orwig of Lapeer, Erin (Matt) Rico of Clarkston and Ryan (Katie) Smith of Metamora; great-grandchildren Bradley, Ellianna, Kiera, Riley and Finley.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Adams and 2 great-granddaughters, Hope and Mya Smith.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Country Manor for the care Jackie received.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon Monday, May 23rd at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Colleen Dewey, pastor of St Matthew Anglican Church, Lapeer, officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of service on Monday, May 23rd.   Memorials may be made to the Activity Fund at Courtney Manor.
