James A. Baker, 70, of Caseville, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Ascension St. Mary Hospital in Saginaw.
James was born May 21, 1952 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late James D. and Elvie (Bell) Baker. He served in the US Army and Air Force. On April 28, 1978 he married Noreen Langley; she preceded him in death on December 20, 2008.
In 1980 he moved to Caseville and raised his family. He retired from Tower Automotive in 2015 as a Team Leader. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and visiting with his friends over a cup of coffee at Lefty’s or Walt’s Diner. He enjoyed watching Detroit Lions Football.
James is survived by his children Christy (Steve) Pledge of Tennessee, James R. (Tamera) of Caseville, Jace of Caseville, Jacob (Caroline) of Texas, and Jayla of Pigeon; granddaughter Isabelle; siblings Donny, Norma Crafton, and Patricia, all of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, June 8th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon. Burial will be in Caseville Twp Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 Tuesday.
