James Edward Brozowski

March 31, 1939 — April 7, 2021

Caseville

James E. Brozowski, 82, of Caseville, passed away April 7, 2021 at home.

Jim was born on March 31, 1939 in Bay City to the late Elmer and Mary (Whitney) Brozowski. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Millie, and brothers Rich and Bob. Jim started his career serving on the Troy Police Dept, which led him into working at Price Funeral Home in Troy with police, ambulance and funeral service. Later he worked at Sure Alloy Steel in Warren from 1976 until he retired in 2001, during which time he also worked for various funeral homes.

Jim loved music and was a well rounded musician. He played guitar during home sing-a-longs or while out performing at different venues. He not only played guitar, he also played banjo and organ, though he couldn’t read music. He enjoyed dancing, especially Polka dancing. On Sunday afternoons, don’t call him because he was watching NASCAR or the Indy 500. Still today he could speak of the drivers by name, and through the years we would hear him say “Gentlemen, start your engines!”

Jim is survived by his daughters Judy (David) Sinquefield of Cedar Springs, Dorrie Oliver of Port Charlotte, FL and Bonnie (Rick) Desrosiers of Wyoming, MI; 5 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and brothers Al and Bill.

A celebration of life will take place at 2:30 Thursday, May 13th at St. Roch Cemetery in Caseville. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
