James Alan Decker

James Alan Decker, age 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Jim was born December 9, 1964 in Saginaw, the son of the late James Decker and Gloria Austin. He loved working on cars, whether it was fixing them or painting them, he could do it all. You could always find Jim outdoors, enjoying nature, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He had an eye for antiques and loved to collect anything Native American. Jim liked to socialize with friends, be with the kids, and made sure no one ever went hungry. He had a zest for life, and a smile that will be missed.

Jim leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Sarah (Jacob) Boehm, James Decker, Jr., and Alyssa Decker-Gonzales; grandchildren, Elena, Aiden, Claire, Alexander, Gwendolyn, Lucyanna, Isaac, Marcus, Harmony, and Romeo; sisters, Sherry Turner and Laura (Fred) Tackbury; several nieces and nephews; many friends. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Decker and brother-in-law, Jeff Turner.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
