James J. Kuhl of Caro, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Covenant Health Care - Harrison in Saginaw. He was born September 20, 1956 in Clare, the son of Carol Kuhl and the late Russel Kuhl. Jim was rarely seen without a smile and his quick wit and sarcasm added fun and laughter to his jobs and outings visiting friends and family. His generosity and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Jim was an outstanding bowler earning several ABC awards and rings. He began his bowling career at Harmony Hill Bowling Alley in Caro, became part owner of Brentwood in Caro, and owner of Sebewaing Lanes working alongside his father. Jim also maintained several oil fields for over twenty years up until his illness. In 2013, Jim proceeded to share his knowledge and passion for the game when close family members bought Charmont Lanes in Cass City. When they needed someone to maintain the lanes and machines there was only one man for the job and that was "the best of the best," Jim Kuhl. When asked, he was more than happy to jump right in. He shared his knowledge and passion with Andy and Krystal Cole until his illness no longer allowed him. Jim was a life member of the Caro Moose Lodge. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved Patricia J. Buniack of thirty-two years along with her five children, Mike & Silvia O'Connor, Sherry Ralston & Randy Broadworth, Patty & Melvin Hessling, Christina Buniack & Steve, Sue & Sam Tallman; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren to whom he was known as "Buddy Jim." He is also survived by his mother, Carole; five siblings, Scott & Annie Kuhl, Diane & Mike McGuire, Jennifer & Dale TerBush, Connie & Dan O'Mara, and Laurel and Chuck Tomlinson. In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by one son, George Buniack; and Christopher and Greg Ralston. Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
