James Joseph Leitermann

James Joseph Leitermann, age 85, of Sebewaing, passed away October 7, 2021.

James was born in Owendale on March 6, 1936 to Adam and Susanna (Petrie) Leitermann. James graduated from Owendale High School.

James served in the Army from 1956 until 1958.

He worked at American Hoist in Bay City for 28 years and retired from Sebewaing Industries after 12 years.

James enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sprint car racing, gardening and cooking.

James is survived by his children: William (Debra) Werner, Sherry Gee, Michael Leitermann and Judi (Edward) Wasielewski. Granddaughter, Jessica Gee and her children: Izick, Elijah and Violet. Grandson, Terry (Samantha) Edwards and son Easton, and granddaughter, Olivia Gee, as well as, 3 sisters: Joanna Miklovich, Dorothy Prichard and Dolly (John) Ondrajka.

James is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Max Leitermann,  Christina Wissner, Barbara Parker, Marie Menzel, Adam Leitermann Jr. and Robert Leitermann.

Per James's wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial of his cremains will take place privately at Grant Township Cemetery in Gagetown.
