James Arthur Mclellan

James Arthur McLellan of Vassar, age 70, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at his home. He was born August 7, 1950 in Flint, the son of the late James and Mildred (Wing) McLellan. James served during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage with the former Shelly Tippie on July 12, 2003 in Sandusky, and she survives. James worked in the Flint area as a welder. In his spare times, he enjoyed flying drones. James is survived by his loving wife, Shelly; two daughters, Katie Owen and her husband, Justin, of Mayville, Donna Hall of Flint; two granddaughters, Delilah and Madison Rogers of Flint. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John McLellan. A visitation will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. In keeping with James' wishes, cremation will follow.
