James H. Murdoch

James H. Murdoch age 68, of Caseville died Monday afternoon, June 3, at Courtney Manor, Bad Axe.
He was born July 20, 1944 in Pigeon to the late Howard C. and Ora Belle (Beck) Murdoch.

Jim grew up in the Pigeon area and graduate from Laker High School in 1962. He farmed with his father for a while and started a construction business, Murdoch Seawalls operating it until 2005, when he retired.
He was an active member of the Pigeon Conservation Club for many years and a former officer and member of the Pigeon Jaycees.

He is lovingly remembered and mourned by Kathleen; children, Chris (Kim) Murdoch of Lemoore, CA, Dan (Amy) Murdoch of Roscoe, IL and Penny (Ted) Filippi of Brownstown; his grandchildren, Spencer, Veronica, Susannah, Preston, Alison, Eva, Milana, Vincenzo, Lily and Chase; and siblings, Marilyn (Judge) Crane of Saginaw, Connie Abraham of Sutton, WV, Beverly (Denny) Herford of Caseville, Barb (Carl) Weigle of Beaverton and Larry Murdoch of Caseville.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday at Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton where friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday and after 10 AM Friday.
Memorials may be directed to the Pigeon Conservation Club and words of condolence may be shared at www.cfcelkton.com.
