James B Richards

James B. Richards, age 57, of Pemberville, OH passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Bay Park Hospital, Oregon, OH. He was born on December 14, 1958 in Fremont, OH to Scott and Marveline (Brolhost) Richards. As a boy he lived in Elkton, MI and graduated from Laker High School. For over 15 years he worked at Luckey Farmers as a truck driver and was also a farmer. James served his country proudly while enlisted in the United States Army. His memberships included: Only Believe Ministries, Botkins, OH and Pemberville American Legion Freedom Post #183. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and was an OSU and Detroit Tigers fan.

James is survived by his children: Ben (Kristi) Richards of Lewis Center, OH, Rebecca (Michael) Ramirez of Perrysburg, Mark (fiancée: Vicki Bruning) Richards of Charlotte, NC, Joseph Richards and Lydia Richards both of Pemberville, grandchildren: Seth and Caleb Richards both of Lewis Center, Jaxon and Anabel Ramirez both of Perrysburg, sisters: Bernice Richards of Elkton, MI, Carolyn Erkfitz of New Brighton, MN, brothers: Paul Richards of New Brighton, MN and Dan (Karen) Richards of Republic, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Ed Richards.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1:30 PM from Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 220 Cedar Street, Pemberville, with additional visitation from 12:30 until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Peter Doseck and Rev. Matthew Musteric. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the funeral services. Interment will be at a later date in Pemberville Cemetery, Pemberville. Memorial contributions may be given to Joseph and Lydia College Education Fund, c/o Rebecca Ramirez.
