James F. Robinson

James Frank Robinson of Deford, passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2013. He was born September 14, 1927 in Haysi, Virginia to the late James and Dialphia Robinson. After serving in the United States Army, James moved to Michigan in 1950 and worked several factory jobs until retiring from General Motors with twenty-five years of service. Never short of something to say or willingness to buy a lunch, James thoroughly enjoyed spending his time with family and friends alike. Other pleasures included gardening, hunting, good food, and reading. He is survived by his children, Judy (Kenneth) Turner, Donna (Mark) Parks, David (Sheila) Robinson, Connie (Richard) Poirier; grandchildren, Carl Dials, Brian Turner, Jason (Wendy) Dials, Lisa (James) Wallace, Jesse (Rochelle) Robinson, Donna Poirier, Jamie (Matthew) Little, Roger Poirier; and seven great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Robinson Family Discretionary Fund.
